Congratulations to Paul Thomsak, Miguel Solomon and Eamon Brannigan! Paul, Miguel and Eamon all joined the program at 7 years old and after a decade in MJGP they are graduating seniors this year. Each is headed off to college in the coming weeks and we wish them great success in their studies. They are all MJGP Googie Scholarship winners. Remember these names. We are confident they will go on to do great things and make an impact in this world. Congratulations once again to these graduates!
Denton Hau started in the program when he was 7 and graduated at 17. He’s a MJGP Googie Scholarship winner and an undergraduate student studying Civil Engineering. He’s an exceptional golfer and a well mannered young man. We’ve been lucky to have him and his sister participate in MJGP for so many years and learn to love game of golf. We’re also lucky to have him come back as a MJGP Volunteer during his summer break. He is a great example of the Junior golfers that emerge from this program. All the best to Denton in his professional endeavors.
Wyatt Curry has been a junior in MJGP since he was 7. He and his older brother Owen have become great golfers. Both participate in Elevate Golf Academy for extra instruction and they play in many local tournaments. The Curry brothers are both fantastic young men and MJGP has been blessed to have both of them participate in the program over so many years and learn to love the game of golf.
Miguel Francis Solomon is one of our graduating MJGP seniors. Miguel has been
a part of MJGP for 8 years. He’s started when he was nine years old and could barely hold a club. He has an older brother that was in the program too, but has now graduated and is playing golf in college. Miguel is a phenomenal player and more importantly a wonderful young man. When he graduates next year he’ll be eligible for our MJGP scholarship to help him go to college. His younger brother (also a member of MJGP) will fill his shoes in the program. MJGP has been lucky to have all three Solomon boys attend and learn to love the game of golf.
Congratulations to Miguel Solomon who won the JGANC 2024 Jr Classic Tournament that was held March 23-24 at Haggins Oak Golf Complex in Sacramento, CA. Miguel is a senior in the Metropolitan Junior Golf Program (MJGP). Miguel was at the top of Leaderboard with a 67.
